Unite Program
The Unite program funds FUN! With a focus on revitalizing squadrons, increasing resilience and readiness, the Unite program is set up by the Air Force Services Activity to allow commanders to facilitate unit cohesion by implementing and developing team-building events and community-based activities and programs. The program is designed to benefit all Airmen in a unit to include active duty, reserve, and appropriated and non-appropriated civilian employees. There are numerous options both inside and outside the installation.
Eligibility
Unite programs benefit all Airmen in a unit including Assigned Active Duty, Reserve, and APF/NAF Civilians.
Paying for Unite
Know Before You Call
Your installation Unite Coordinator will make Unite payments on your behalf via a purchasing card, though you must ensure budget limits are maintained at all times.
All program invoices must be tax-free. Tax-exempt forms are available at the Unite Coordinator’s office.
Funds are available on a Calendar Year basis, and renewed each January. Events should be fully paid for by 01 December 2026, and events executed and After Action Reports (AAR) submitted by 11 December 2026.
Do not pay for anything on your own. REIMBURSEMENTS ARE NOT AUTHORIZED

NAF Dollars
$6/Person
Food & Beverage – Must be used with a Unite event. One beverage limit per meal. No alcohol.
APF (MOA) Dollars
$13.50/Person
Equipment Rentals, Programs/activities, and Guest Speakers – Must be used for Team Building. No prizes.

Unite Event Request Form
Unite After Action Report - All request forms require a commander’s signature (or an approved alternate POC appointed to sign on his/her behalf)
- Requests MUST be submitted 14 days from the event date to allow time for Air Force approval
- Only the POCs listed on the appointment letter assigned by the commander are authorized to submit requests on behalf of units.
- For any off-base vendors, the AF NAF 889 Representation Form will need to be signed by the vendor and included with your event request package. Events will not be approved without this form. The form is not needed for any events using FSS, the Commissary or Exchange. Please check with your appointed squadron POC or the Unite Coordinator to see if a requested vendor has previously signed for another event.
- Complete fully and submit all forms to 4FSS.FSW.C3UNITEProgram@us.af.mil to be reviewed and processed in the order they are received.
Why Unite?
We are the 4 FSS Unite Program. Our goals are to support SQ leaders, maximize the use of FSS facilities, measure impact, and provide maximum flexibility to squadron commanders. This program can be used for the following:
- Develop a new skill or competency
- Improve physical fitness
- Increase esprit de corps, comradery, or moral
- Promote interaction between unit members
- Provide an opportunity for fun or relaxation
- Reinforce peer, squadron, or AF corps values
- Work on team-building exercises
Considerations
Know Before You Call
- Funds cannot be used to augment holiday parties on or off the installation.
- Meals must be used in conjunction with an approved team-building event.
- Funds cannot be used for alcohol or prizes.
- Unite funds cannot be combined with unit enhancement funds or SM&W funds.
- Private org/individual funds may be used to supplement funding.
Event Categories
Unite events are classified into three different categories:
Ready to Execute (RTE):
FSS related events should be considered first as they are pre-approved, easy to implement and keep funds on the installation.
Unit Developed Events (UDE)
Squadron leaders are given the discretion to create UDPs that capitalize on opportunities available in the local area. UDPs require prior approval through the Air Force Services Activity (AFSVA) and may take up to 30 days.
Volunteer:
Charitable work provides a cost-effective team building activity that allows co-workers to see each other in a new light and can make a significant impact in your community. Free events do not need approval, but we still need to capture the information.
